Building mechanical design engineer

As an energy efficiency engineer, you will have to demonstrate your creative spirit by identifying the best solutions in order to reduce our clients’ energy bills. You will be responsible for carrying out the engineering, making technological choices and implementing projects in the industrial and commercial sectors. Your role, among others, will be to:
- Evaluate energy consumption and identify improvement opportunities for the client
- Carry out feasibility studies, economic analyzes and various studies
- Participate in the preparation of tender documents for specialized contractors
- Present the selected projects to clients
- Support project managers throughout the sales and implementation process
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or in a relevant discipline
- 5 to 10 years of experience, with some in the energy efficiency field
- Project management experience in an industrial and commercial environment
- OIQ member
- Strong sense of entrepreneurship, sense of autonomy
- Knowledge of Autocad software and the Office suite
- Good knowledge of ASHRAE standards and building codes
- French, oral and written
- Asset: English, oral and written
- Asset: Experience in the consulting engineering field
Employment conditions
Although C-nergie has its head office located in Sainte-Julie, all employees telework from home. We are therefore present in Sherbrooke, Saint Jean, Laval and Saint-Hyacinthe. Our clients are spread throughout Quebec. Also, our head office is equipped with 2 workstations and a conference room.
