The Comact plant in St-Georges commissioned C-nergie for a feasibility study as part of an energy efficiency project.
Following the detailed study, the project was implemented in their factory. Realized in two parts, the first step of the project was the air compressor's heat recovery and the centralized ventilation control according to the air factory quality. The second component of the project was a variable frequency drive installation on the welding zone's dust collector.
The benefits are:
-35% savings on the heating bill;
-60 710 m³ of natural gas saved;
-Return on investment period of 1.1 year;
-129 338$ in subsidies;
-114.7 tons of GHGs/year; The average annual concumption of 29 passenger vehicules;
